Hi all,

We've reached the point where we no longer have to order laying chicks as we just hatch all of our own now. However, we have a mixed flock, so the resulting chicks are mixes of high-egg production birds.

I am curious what the chances are for different colored eggs that the following mixes produce:
  • RIR Rooster x EE Hen
  • BR/BSL Rooster x EE Hen
  • EE Rooster x RIR

Is the colored egg trait dominant? Any links for info on this are appreciated as well!

Thanks everyone!

Hmm, I hadn't thought of that. I wonder if I record all of the egg colors that these offspring eventually produce, I may be able to kind of back-trace their genetics?
