Best barn shoes?

Summer and dry weather- worn out Clarks half shoes. Work great when you have an ailing chicken in your arms and no way to tie shoe laces.

Winter and wet weather- mucking boots from tractor. Don't buy the cute multi colored ones. I have had 3 pairs and none lasted me past 4 months without starting to crack and leak on the side. My best pair I actually bought at Walmart. They just turned 6 years old and are slowly starting to leak. I didn't like the sad brown color so I spray painted them orange.

Great idea! Does the paint stay on?

Nope

Not really. I am thinking next time I need to put some cover spray over it to keep the paint "flexible" otherwise it'll peel off after a while. Right now I just keep respraying, that helps too.

muck boots - with steel toes. Worn with thick old socks. Summer is pink flip flops, but only for a quick dash out and back as they're not fireant proof.
