I just bought 3 concord blacks and 3 Asian blacks at my tractor supply. I think they are different a cross... at least I hope!

Hi I just bought some of those Concord Black Chickens from Tractor Supply also. I called Hoover's and they told me they are LIKE the Black Sex Link.
So I wonder if they are a cross between the Asian Black and the Black Sex Link ? But it does say Concord Black in the description of the Asian Black ! Interesting .

I just bought this one Friday. She's supposed to be a pullet too but already has a comb. Also not sure if it's a Hoover or Concord the girl was brand new!

All chickens are born with combs.. they don't grow in. And just because you can see her comb doesn't mean shes a cockerel

Millers farm you can tell I'm a newbie I wasn't worried about it until a lady at TS the day after I got her said that she didn't want a particular chicken from the straight run tank bc the comb was there. So I was telling one of the managers there that my pullet had a comb and she said it's a rooster. I can't have a rooster by HOA guidelines so I'm so worried now.

It looks like the Concord . Hoover is the name of the hatchery they came from in Iowa.

But they made it sound like there were Hoover's black and concord blacks two different breeds. Can't figure out if they're Asian black or a hybrid or black sex link. I'm new and somewhat clueless.

TSC has these Concord Blacks again this year. No real info on Hoover Hatchery site. Would anyone like to share pictures of theirs grown out? Thanks!!
