These are 10-12 weeks old as you can see most will be culled. Males into the freezer and the females into layer flocks. We have another 150 from a different mating waiting to go into a growout lot.

Wow Don! I don't have that many to pick from! lol At a guess what would be the % that you would cull? I only have the 6 hens so unless they have a DQ I will have to keep them and I hope to have a couple of Blue Copper and a couple of Black Copper roosters to keep! I would like to keep a couple spares. Just in case!

Okay friends, it's been a week since our split gender prediction. Here is Bandit the Dark Lord today at 5 weeks and some change (hatch date around the 17th of April I think) I thought Bandit as a likely cockerel early but today I'm thinking pullet. Virtually no comb and wattle growth since last week.
