Black Sex-Link Picture Thread!

Here is Henrietta, my black sex link. Oddly enough, she has a rose comb (also only one wattle!). I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on what mixture would produce the rose comb (this photo was taken prior to the onset of laying, the rose comb is much more pronounced now).

hmm. Pea comb? Could she possibly be mixed with a dark Cornish or brown leghorn. Some brown leghorns have the pea comb and those with the pea combs have more red.

I am just learning about the BSL, so I really do not know. It is just a guess.

Nope, not a pea comb (my EE has one of those). Definitely a rose comb!

I love rose combs! My Dominiques and Wyandotte's have them. I really like them on the Hamburg.

Females are mostly black. Males have a white spit on the top of their head, and usually are a bit lighter.
