That is not black sexlink hen coloring at all. Black sexlink females are black with some gold on their necks and chest. That is a mixed breed. And it's a boy for sure. Females never have that particular shade of dark red on their shoulders. That is very male specific.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. X2 on junebuggena;your bird is definitely a rooster and is just a mixed breed. It's possible that it is the offspring of two Black Sex Links, but BSLs are hybrids which will not breed true, and the offspring of two BSL parents cannot be sexed by color.
