I have two stunning black split to chocolate frizzle roosters and have been going through my girls to figure out who I want to pair off with them. I have an outstanding black hen, but I'm not entirely sure that will suit my needs when it comes to creating chocolate anything. Admittedly, I'm not super on the up and up with poultry color genetics. HELP

Chocolate is sex linked recessive.
Half of the male offspring will be homozygous black, half will be split for chocolate. Half of the female offspring will be black, half will be chocolate.
You can breed these chocolates back to their fathers to get fifty percent chocolate offspring.

That makes a ton of sense. Thank you for this.
