I have three black star chickens - Raven, Khaleesi, and Lady. More pics to come as they grow!

The girls are getting huge! No eggs yet but they seem to be laying down a lot so maybe they’re practicing? We just brought home two Rouen ducklings to add to our family!

I used to have a black star. Sadly she and 10 other girls were eaten by an opossum last summer. I still miss her, but now I have two dear little polish hens who take up most of my heart (and time). Black stars are such nice things though. They are full-chested birds, and my Latte had a floppy comb (though you probably know most of that).

They are very pretty and growing fast! I'm still hoping that I have black star hens as the chicks have fantastic personalities.
