Here are 3 splash chicks with one blue on the far right. They can fool you though. I had a chick hatch out all yellow with a black dot on its head and it feathered in a blue. Runs in the Foley lines. Collage is of that chick from hatch to completely feathered in.

That is the wildest looking rooster I've ever seen! Is that barring on his hackles and saddle? Your LF blr are very nice!!!

yes, he has barring in the saddle and hackles. I've seen that every time I've crossed anything with my blr roo that they come out barred.

I just took some pics of the offspring from Lippy he's the one that went to PA with us.
he has given me some real nice dottes ( I think )
feel free to tell me what you think.

Thanks! Two of mine look like splashes going by your picture, and the other one looks darker, more like the one on the right. However, since you said they can fool you, I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Does anyone have an opinion on the gender of this particular bird? It was just about four months old at the time of this photo. It's nowhere near as developed as my SLW cockerels from the same hatch, and just barely grew wattles before my other five or so BLRWs. It looks pretty pullety to me. It's so stinkin' friendly that it greets me at the gate though, and in the past, it's been my cockerels that are a little more outgoing, not the pullets.

It has the feathering pattern of a roo....pullets should have nice lacing across their back. It looks like it has the beginnings of saddle feathers The comb and wattles aren't really very red (at least in the picture), but my pullets don't have that much wattle until much older.

Dag gone! I thought pullet! I don't know why on BLRW I can't see gender but my SLW are no problem. Must have something to do with how they pattern out.
