I agree with @KDOGG331, we have more hens and still have a few that are favorites and the rest are not really bothered. We just bought some saddles/aprons for the few and now the rooster doesn't bother with them as much.

It's interesting to me how some roos have favorites even if there's plenty of other birds or others don't care. They look cute with the saddles :)
 
I insulate the floor and under the nesting boxes. The rest of the coop is kept tight to avoid drafts but with good ventilation up at the roof to allow the moisture from their breath to escape. So far, four years in, no serious frostbite or problems.
