can you tell me if my ducks are male or female?

When they are older the drakes will most likely have curled tail feathers and will make a low raspy gurgly honk noise. Girls will be smaller and they will make a loud quack that sounds like an old man laughing.

Some breeds are very different looking (male vs female) as adults and the males will have green heads and the females will have more muted camouflage colors. Color sexing only applies to certain breeds though.

We are familiar with older ducks but we're unsure if you could sex at this age. I guess we will see if we need to separate them from our hens later.

Welsh harlequin ducks can be sexed the day they hatch but I don't know of any other breeds that can be sexed before they fully feather out
