Male duck not interested in female duck

I have a male duck that I have had for 6 years. I got him from a family member with 5 other male ducks. I lost the other 5, so he's the only one left. I didn't like him being alone anymore so I got some female ducks for him. One of my females like him alot and is interested, but he don't want anything to do with my female. He just ignores her, and walks away as she follows him. What's it mean when my male duck isn't interested in any of my female ducks?

It could be the time of year, my drakes aren't near randy as they were even a month ago.
As long as he isn't sick probably time of year.

This boy has gone a long time never having a female so it may take some time

I got my female ducks in April this year. I do have a few more males that I got with the females but she is only interested in my older male duck.

Not that I have seen, but when I'm around they let him around and they all lay together also eat together.

Thats good to hear. Then let's just chalk it up to time of year and see how he is next spring when hormones begin to swell again. My Muscovy drake is 12 yrs old and still mates with his females. So I don't think it's your drakes age.

You might want to keep an eye on him making sure he is eating and drinking and pooping normally so there isn't an underlying issue you can't see with the naked eye.
