Male duck not interested in female duck

I wonder though if I didn't have a female but only a male if he would attempt to mate the ducks?

I did have my female goose asking my ducks to mate her
My poor drake was trying but couldn’t get on her back
So I would imagine a boy may try. They have needs

Yeah that's what I was thinking so I figured it'd be best to get a female

My gander was hatched and raised by a Muscovy he mated all the Muscovy females I had they didn't care and he never was aggressive they are really gentlmen compared to drakes. No off spring will come of it and my goose and gander did not like anyone else mating they would stop the rooster and drakes.

What type of geese do you have? I'm thinking of getting a Pilgrim

Those are a beautiful breed. I had an Embden gander who passed away in 2022 at almost 15 yrs old and my goose is French Toulouse she will be 12 in April
