Chicken Breed Focus - Showgirl

As a new mom to the breed, are there any special requirements for chicks? Like taking care of the skin on their necks? I know this sounds ridiculous and I apologize. But I was just curious about keeping them from getting dry skin. thank you

I don't do anything special for these guys. I live in a tampa bay. They do seem more fragile in appearance, but they are as sturdy as all our other chickens. I absolutely adore them in my flock.

Nothing special that you have to do for these guys. We live in tampa bay and they seem just as hardy as the rest of the flock, even with the bare neck.

So hard to find breeders in my area, I have to start from scratch, but I also strongly prefer a clean neck on my naked necks and showgirls, and I ADORE black skinned ones!

I love my showgirls! I am a breeder of them in the USA (mainly I just have them to love them). Funny how I used to hate them. What changed?! I can't get enough of them now!

and from what I read the black skin is the sex link to the females, so if you have a black skinned chick its a girl , is what I think it was saying..?
