Chicken Butt Problem...

Try warm soapy water again to soften it. I would think it would pry loose after a warm soak with some Dawn or other liquid soap.

Good to know we may be on the right track with trimming and oiling... We trimmed on it a little and she, herself, is pecking at it too...guess I'll keep trimming to help her along with it....

Still the same - we've trimmed (although not much) and we've bathed with AvoDerm Oatmeal Shampoo and then we re-oiled the area. She's trying to get out of the tub so her energy level seems good...

Is it egg? Is it solid? Can you somehow squeeze it so it's smaller right near her vent? Maybe it will slip out. I'm grasping at straws here.

It is firm and looks like egg or even looks like cooked chicken meat and trims easily enough. I'll keep on her tonight....Thank you so much for the advice....If anyone else knows what this is or has seen it before please reply...

No, trimming does not bother her - she's pecking at it in pieces too to try to get it out/off...
