I purchased six silkies last fall that were advertised as chocolates. I understand now that quite often chocolate silkies are actually duns. I want to confirm if I have chocolates or duns so my question is this: if I breed these birds together and I get all chocolate colored chicks then I truly have chocolates, correct? If I breed them together, and I get a mix of chocolate colored, black, and splash/khaki then I actually have Dun birds? I tried to look through some of the other posts about chocolate silkies but the replies were very confusing and not clear. I would ask that only those with knowledgeable genetics please answer my question to avoid more confusion for me. Thank you so much!
