Colorado Shooting - How horrible!

For those of you who know nothing about firearms, both firearms are functionally identical and shoot the same type of bullet. One looks evil mean and wicked. Some would ban it on looks alone.

Yea, I guess I could have pointed that out.

The top gun is Rugger 10-22. Usually sold at walmart as a youth gun for a first time hunter to shoot rabbits.
It shoots one .22 caliber bullet at a time an can be fead with a clip of any size someone wants to make. It has an effective range of around 200 yards an most people can hit a coke can sized target at about half that distance.

The second gun is a Smith an Wesson M&P AR15-22. Also sold at walmart for shooting rabbits.
It shoots one .22 caliber bullet at a time an can be fead with a clip of any size someone wants to make. It has an effective range of around 100 yards an most people can hit a coke can sized target at about half that distance.

The AR15 has less range an is less accurate but it is feared cause it is made of black plastic an not wood. That makes it an Evil Black Gun, known to the media as "High Powered Assault Rifles"

Last thursday while at a Dr's appointmeent i found an article about the victims of the shooting which included a paragraph and two photos of the suspect. The most recent photo showed a person with a very distubing look to his eyes. This is something that is beyond gun legislation. He Made me think of the disturbed soul who purpetrated a shooting at Virginia tech.

Well, if no-one else has heard about this one, I have:

From Mail Online India:

The skinhead former US soldier who killed six people and critically wounded three at a Wisconsin gurdwara on Sunday before police shot him dead could have been part of a race hate group, sources said. Sources identified the dead suspect as Wade Michael Page, who was at one time attached to the Fort Bragg army installation in North Carolina.

Four people were shot dead inside the gurdwara while three more were killed outside. One victim was the temple's president, 65-year-old Satwant Singh Kaleka who died as he tried to 'knife and tackle' the shooter. Kaleka was the brother-in-law of Surjit Singh Rakhra - the Punjab minister whose niece's wedding in the US will see a significant presence from his cabinet colleagues.

In New Delhi, around 200 people delivered a memorandum to the US President Barack Obama through the US embassy. They had two demands: Better security for non- Americans and a ban on easy availability of arms in the US. External affairs minister S.M. Krishna has tried to get in touch with his US counterpart Hillary Clinton but she is away in Africa. Meanwhile, US Ambassador to India Nancy Powell offered prayers at Gurdwara Bangla Sahib on Monday.

Another victim sent to hospital by the gunman was a police officer, a 20-year veteran who was ambushed by the attacker and was shot multiple times. He is undergoing surgery for his injuries, but is expected to survive.

Police are treating the incident as an act of 'domestic terrorism' - partly based on tattoos sported by the gunman.

It is the second mass shooting to hit the U.S. in less than three weeks, after James Holmes opened fire on a packed movie theatre in Aurora, Colorado, killing 12 people and injuring 58.

Yep, cant turn the TV on an not know about this..

Three questions...
What does a non- American in America look like?
How is it the governments job to supply them with special security?
An what makes them think the president has any authority to give in to there demands?

I think that the reaction from India is understandable in the circumstances, even if it's a little illogical. Allow them some feelings about this mass murder.

Perhaps it's not appropriate of you to attempt to divert attention away from the fact that yet another nut job with a pop gun has ended a number of innocent lives by just walking into a building.
