My husband and I recently bought a used, cedar, child’s playhouse from a yard sale for $75. It was pretty beaten up, but it had wonderful bones so I knew we could make it into the chicken coop of my dreams. I thought I’d share it with all of you as I am very proud of all of our hard work paying off. We were able to take apart the cedar “deck” that came with the playhouse and reuse the wood to upscale the coop. We added a linoleum floored raised base, a nesting box, sliding door, hardware cloth/ plexiglass windows, lots of roosts, extra ventilation under the roof and at the peaks of the coop, an 8x6 covered run, PVC feeders and of course all of the cutesy decor I could get my hands on :)

Before, during, and after pictures :)

Opinions and critiques are welcomed!

This is one of the most adorable coops I have ever seen :bow
No lie!
Great job, it looks fabulous! I want to live in there and I'm not even a chicken! :highfive:
I love the little flowers in the window :love

I can totally relate! I find myself sitting inside of the run on the ladders for hours some days.. I just wonder what the neighbors think! Lol! Thank you for you compliments
