Its hard to tell from the picture but it looks to me like you need to run some heavy duty bolts through your upright posts into the roof structure. There is a lot of weight to support.

I don't know what they used but three grown men have been walking around on the roof and it is holding great. I think it must be at least 10-15 degrees cooler in there for them. This makes me sooooo happy!
