Yes, I have a super horny drake. However, Elsa is not his favorite. He’s pretty into one of my younger girls and has been in drake jail off and on for much of the summer.

That’s just sad. My drake has been surprisingly aggressive over the last few months - he’s just a year old in July. I actually looked around for a drake swap but then found out some people separate their drakes during prime mating season to avoid over mating. Though honestly, he’s overmated another gal in the past.I would keep the drake away from her. Even if you haven't seen it her injury may be pelvic bruising from a rough mating.
Drakes can unfortunately be like that during breeding season, and then turn back into absolute darlings. That’s just sad. I was bringing his fave gal in for an epsom salt bath this evening while the birds were all out, and he followed me and bit my leg several times. Those hormones are no joke!!!Drakes can unfortunately be like that during breeding season, and then turn back into absolute darlings.
I'm glad you were able to find a local farm vet! Those are usually the best, imo. Glad to hear she'll be better, even though it will take a bit of time.
Let us know how she does!
