Crowing "Hen"?

Male feathers yet to come in, but that huge red comb, those big red wattles, and the crowing tell me that's still a boy!

Yes! He is doing wonderfully. He has grown some beautiful saddle feathers and seems to have almost doubled in size. He also of course got up to a very healthy, hefty weight, so you no longer just feel bone when you hold him.
My friend who found him has named him Chicken Joe.

He is a handsome fellow! So glad you all were able to rescue him! I would say he looks like my BOs. Sounds like he had a hard life before and will need time to build up trust humans. What a lucky cockerel/rooster, he is!!!
