crummy muffins!

yes, I see the roast beef, but what is the pudding? The veggies & stuff? Still looks yummy

The veg. is roast potato, brussels sprouts, carrots and roast parsnip.

On the left of the plate is Yorkshire pudding. This is Jamie Oliver's recipe. Jamie is an English restaurant and TV chef. You may have seen him on US TV attempting to persuade a school to change its lunches from junk food to healthy food.

Have you eaten in a restaurant in England?

Here's a traditional English Sunday lunch main course for you to enjoy. Of course, if you prefer McD's or KFC to make you feel at home, you can buy their stuff too.

I didn't mean actual taste

I meant with all the slang names.

Aha! Parsnips. funny word isn't it?
big_smile.png
So the pudding is the thing that looks like a bagel?

Hey, thanks for the link.

That should clear things up a bit.

I should have said top left for the Yorkshire pudd. Yes, you've got it. It's roasted. Some pub restaurants make big Yorkshire pudds. and fill them with sausage and gravy to go with veg.

If the sausages are cooked with the pudd, in the batter, it's called Toad In The Hole (another one for Matthew).

Here the Yorkshire Puddings are often called Popovers;
and the big ones are called Dutch Babies.
You don't see either often, unfortunately.

Imp- All so yummy.
