Nice thread on the project - my current stock is from Happy Mtn/ GooseandFig

I've had them since 2011. Over the winter I added two black hens to improve egg color as they were leaning a little towards the green side.

I have a website but I don't think I'm allowed to list it here. I'll try to get more pictures loaded on this page so you can see. The leg color is "cuckoo" patterned. I haven't yet been able to overcome the genetic factor of cuckoo to get the slate legs. I know jerreyse is working on that too. That's another reason I added the black, while it won't overcome the genetics I am hoping it will darken them. To eliminate it completely I'd need to add a melenistic black. That would involve bringing in another breed and I don't want to risk type over coloration.

They are gold based (cuckoo maran was how they introduced the cuckoo pattern)
