Curious, what do you do with an accidental rooster

re-homing is my preference as I'm not sure I can actually cull a chicken.....I know it's how the world goes round but I tend to get close to them. If we can't re-home and had to go the route of eating, do roosters cause a ruckus at young age, before the age they are old enough to cull/eat? Not sure how long you would have to wait for the right age to eat.
It depends on the breeds as to how fast they mature.
I have duel-purpose breeds, and with the they don't start getting really annoying until around 18 weeks, which is also a good time to butcher.
My personal preference is to separate them to a bachelor flock, and grow them out a bit longer till around 23 weeks, but that is just to get a bit more meat on them. They are well worth the effort when a bit younger.
14 weeks is the youngest I would consider, unless they are actual meat breeds.
