My Christmas ducks came! Funny story. My poor dear husband thought that they would come to our house. So when the PO called this morning on our way to work (we carpool) he was quite surprised. He explained that he could not keep my gift a surprise since we had to go pick it up together. So now I am at work with two little quackers hanging out in my cubicle. I have watered them, luckily I had some cage clips in the car I purchased at the show this past weekend. I am as excited as a kid on Christmas. So far they haven't made a peep. Fingers crossed they don't get vocal in the office today lol. I work at an ag company so surely they would understand.

Yup, they do fine in the cold! Mine have seen days of temps never rising above 0 degrees Fahrenheit, no heat provided, and still complained to me when I didn't have their pool out for them. I stop providing them swimming water only once it becomes inconvenient for me to do so due to freezing temps, not because they can't handle it. The first winter I had them outside, I had set up a black rubber pan for them to drink from only, but Trudi didn't listen to my rules and later I went out to find her swimming in it anyway, surrounded by snow. I stopped worrying about them being too cold after that.

Thank you so much for all the help it's been fantastic I didn't know where to start and didn't realise they came in so many colours so it's been a massive help, and as a bonus I need to get more females to go with the black and white drakes so now I can get more as I could never sell any of them they are all just too beautiful.

Hi guys! It's been ages since I posted here, but I have some great news. I got my babies back!!

Wobbles and Bean are readjusting nicely back to indoor life. The entire time we were apart, I didn't feel complete. :/

It must either depend on the girl or there's something in her water there at her place. ;)

Yeah, I think Trudi's just an oddball. I have a few chicken hens that are like that, not quite sure why they want to sit in the nest, but they definitely want to, and they don't need any eggs under them, thank you. So maybe it's just that I attract odd birds.
