He has male saddle feathers. I'm pretty sure it's a cockerel. Also, not a pure Columbian Rock with that brown, his neck feathers look more like a Delware (columbian plus barring). Definitely a mixed breed.
What do you do if you want to keep the rooster and also want to eat your hen's eggs? Make him a bachelor pad and keep him separate?
