Feeling cautiously optimistic.
Baby #2 arrived early this morning! Umbilical area was a bit bloody, but not too bad. Wasn't gushing out or anything. Dabbed some cornstarch on it and looks like it's on it's way to drying up.
His vitals seem good. He's got a good peep and is very responsive. Not trying to get around too much yet. Hope this is normal. (I think the last hatchling may have been a little abnormal by trying to do laps and the incubator right away! Lol!)
I now have him under my brooder with the other duckling. Hoping he will show the new duckling the ropes! They are already snuggled up together!
The kids want to name this one "Butt Head" because he was butt first in the egg! I think we will stick with "Buddy."
