Ah, how sweet! My big question is, how is it you have grass - actual green healthy grass - in an area where you let your chickens graze? Mine have turned their grass filled areas into a barren dirt wasteland.

They can be mean but are less likely to be mean to their keepers if raised from babies. That is why I did not want to start with an adult. I understand thy are good guard animals and I am looking for something to stomp the neighbors dogs into the ground when they allow them to roam free on my property. Of the ratites emus are the friendliest, the ostriches and rheas can be mean. I am hoping that all the cuddling these little ones have had will make them friendly as adults.
