Everyday is like Christmas!

My first hen starting laying about 2 weeks ago and the rest are beginning to follow! It's so exciting to check the boxes for eggs everyday! Currently have 6 hens laying...waiting for the last 5 to start producing!

- nice looking eggs you have there! Isn't it amazing how exciting something as simple as eggs is when it's your own birds that are producing them? My daughter actually begged and bribed my son the other day to let her do the checking, which is usually his job (and they are 18 and 13 respectively

) it's a big deal at our house, lol.

@Ol Grey Mare Thanks! Its so amazing! I can't believe I didn't get hens sooner! The feeling of getting eggs is unlike any other!

That's hilarious about your kids....my boyfriend also races me to the coop to feed my hens and check for eggs first. It's comical.
