If this is the wrong forum someone let me know ...

However, I recently had a fantastic experience with some shipped hatching eggs I purchased from Etsy. The seller, who I will link for anyone interested, sent a variety of eggs from their flock of mixed egg laying breeds. The eggs arrived very safely packaged (within the US) and were incubated after being allowed to settle pointy side down for 24 hours. On the 28th the eggs began to pip, and by today they had finished hatching and were moved to a brooder box. I purchased a set of 8 eggs and was sent 9 (the seller also worked with me to ship out after Christmas had passed and was very kind). Out of the 9, 6 hatched into healthy chicks. We were very pleasantly surprised. Pics attached. One of the eggs was labelled as having come from an Ayem Cemani hen as well (the flock has many roosters). The chick has a couple of pink toes but otherwise is completely jet black. Probably the coolest looking chick I've gotten so far. Now if only I could figure out how to buy JUST AC eggs from them ... LOL

For anyone interested, this was the Etsy I purchased from: https://www.etsy.com/shop/TPetersDesign

and this is their own webpage which seems to have more egg variety: https://www.themossyegg.com/

This was a great surprise after some bad experiences with some Ebay sellers. I was ready to give up on shipped hatching eggs, so glad to see there are still some legit sellers online.
