Yes, a different Purina, just the one low volume very specialized feed, and for too much of a vitamin. Based on two cconfirmed reports. This is how the system is supposed to work. Though disappointing that seven production lots were potentially impacted. And, possibly confusing things further...
Nestle recalls dog food due to high levels of vitamin D. Just the one kind, I think.

I have no idea about west coast prices, but I know NY/NJ prices were around $1-$1.50 sale price a short time ago. People wouldn’t even look at farm eggs priced at $4 at farmers markets because it was so much higher (except a few smart niche customers). Now we have no trouble getting rid of 20-30 dozen eggs/week at $5, because it’s the same or lower than 90% of grocery stores. One of the #1 bits of "evidence" being thrown around is how eggs have gone from $1+ to $7+ in California over the past year. Eggs have gone up in price, yes, but no way, no how were eggs ever a dollar something here. Nope nope nope. And the fact that not one of the folks sharing this info has even bothered to vet that "evidence" tells me everything I need to know about their investigative abilities.
