Female or male?

I purchased a straight run and am completely new to chickens. Can someone tell me type and sex? Please...thank you...

Where did you buy said bird from? And approximately how old?

Also, does it have a scissor beak? There's something strange about it's face.
I don't know enough about polish chickens, admittedly.... with but it looks like it's a cross between a V and a straight comb.

I'm going to guess bearded Polish cross...

Yes the beak is deformed. ..has gotten along and grown very well 3 months old...she's sneaky too.

Hm, 3 months old with no red in the comb yet makes me lean toward pullet but I can't see the tail or back.

By 3 months old, should be able to tell by tail....if the tail is arched over with pointed feathers, it's a boy.
If the tail is very straight and sticks straight up, it's a girl.

It'll be an interesting looking bird regardless of gender!

Second opinion anyone?



That gives me some comfort--one of my month-old solid white EEs just developed scissor beak.
