My FIL wanted bobwhite quail, so we are hatching them for him since we have the incubator. When we hatch our chicken eggs, we hatch in egg cartons. Does anyone hatch in carton for quail, or do you just lay them on their sides and let them go?

Thanks!

I have the turners, asking about hatching. We don't hatch anything in the tuners.

I hatch them in the paper flats that everyone uses to ship in.... standing up

Thanks! That's what we will do!

AMEN.. ITS THE ONLY WAY TO HATCH EGGS!

I am a humble disciple (2nd degree "green" belt) of #1 the dry incubation method and #2 the egg carton style of hatching.

I have an excellent success keeping humidity at 50-60% and leaving the eggs in the turner at hatch (unplugged). The same would be if you left them in the cartons
