First time hatching - what does this look like?

Hi there,

Looking for help trying to figure out what this means. Muscovy duck, set to hatch imminently. Have it under a broody chicken at the moment who has successfully hatched many chicks, but never a duck.

Is this lighter spot normal? Does it mean internal piping? I can't hear anything inside in terms of peeping.

Any insight would be wonderful.

The dark color of the egg makes me think it's a quitter. Can you take a picture of it being candled?
