Oooh! I had to google what they looked like and I shouldn't have. I want them! I know that DH is going to say NO! It isnt even that far really. Google even stated they are good ornamental birds for farms..I have a farm.

There is a large flock of wild turkeys that live in our shelter belt. I want them to come in the yard and DH says NO, leave them alone, turkeys are messy

I want some turkeys. How to convince DH that I need these?

The link is for king pigeons, not royal palms...

Turkeys can be messy, they can also be noisy, nosey, and act like a bad group of three year olds. But they're also funny, smart, and fun to have around. They're just like kids, you have to keep one step ahead of them.

If you want them, you also have to consider the kind of neighborhood you live in. If you have the space, you might want to pen them in to keep them from visiting the neighbors or wandering off down the street to forage. If you have wild ones around, I would not encourage them to come to your yard. They'll figure out where to get a free meal and take over your place, plus, depending on where you live, there are laws against encouraging turkeys to live in private and public places. They have no problem with bullying people in large groups.

The person had two royal palm hens and also some pigeons. The link is now gone, so the birds are probable gone too.

Blisschick, DH said the exact things you did; messy & noisy. We live in a rural farming area, so neighbors & space are not issues. The wild ones will walk thru our crops behind the house and down along the "ravine". I have to use binoculars to see them. I think they are so pretty.
