The screen door is not enough protection against a predator. A hungry fox will have the screen ripped off in seconds to get in.

I don't leave it up and open at night and I also keep a real close eye in them all day. Just want them to get some fresh air. In the evening the coop is closed up hopefully nothing gets in. There is no chicken door, just 2 large door secured every night.
