freshly hatched chicks sitting and laying on damp sponge - ok??

My chicks are just starting to hatch, (my first batch ever

so exciting!!!). I had put a damp sponge in the incubator to up the humidity and now the little babies are flopped on top of the sponge. I'm worried about them being on the sponge but I don't want to open up the bator to take it out. Do you think its ok for them???? Thanks for your help!

They'll be fine. Just don't open that incy! (I know it's hard not to...) They're warm enough in there, and you don't want to mess up the high humidity needed for the rest of the hatch.
 
Mine all did that too ....kind of thought about it like " hey, If I just worked that hard to get out of that tiny shell, I'd like a nice warm soft place to lay my head too" LOL.
Congrats on your hatch! Try not to worry too much!
