I remember those, they were beautiful! Are you going to do more for your house there?We made some similar planters for the golf course in WY. Started with stock tanks, drilled some drainage holes and then wrapped them in wood strips.

It's really convenient to have planters tall enough to not have to get down to ground level.

It is super awesome not to have to get down on the ground! I recently found out I have arthritis in my hips and boy is it easier on the body this way.
I’m planning corn, beans, squash and melons for monsoon season. That’s about all that will grow in summer here.
It is a painWe talked about making them for here. But DH found some huge heavy-duty plastic tubs on sale that we'll use at least for now.
Sorry about the arthritis, that can slow a person down for sure. I have it in a few assorted places too and it's a pain.
