So I have all these cockerals and a pullet in a coop that my birds for some reason love to play in. I let them in yesterday for a housewarming party with the little ones and they had a dustbathing hole digging party and got to know the little birds better.

How about fencing your chickens in to the garden so they can help you dig it up for spring planting?

Squeal over how frickin' cute your Booted Bantam hen's eggs are,
Hope that a certain ISA Brown goes broody (that's you, Najika),
Maybe paint or dye some eggs? Or maybe I'll try making blown eggs....
Cook with eggs,
And so on! I have a ton of guinea feathers just sitting in a box under my bed... maybe I'll make something with them -- and, yes, I know that it said "chickens" in the thread title, but can you really say no to guineas? I can't.

Clean the coop, it ALWAYS needs to be cleaned. It's amazing how much waste a flock of 11 can produce!

Train your chickens tricks. Yes, like a dog. Mine know "shake", and we're working on "Hoop" and "Over" (jump over the arm). (Also, any more trick ideas will be appreciated!)

Darn. To each their own, then... I suppose that my own are rather loud and flighty. Makes sense; I may not be loud, but I sure am skittish!

I like to take my chickens out digging for bugs and worms. I have also managed to teach one of my old hens some tricks like come, go away, sit, and stay.
