This thread is for oddballs that have popped up during breedings, whether it's a weird color chick/Adult bird, funky comb, toes(Polydactly), egg color, etc...

Here's one of mine to start.

Big Fatty, she's pure Malay, but doesn't look like it, she's just odd. Both parents are full sized, she hatched out of a Jumbo Egg.

She's 6 months old.

Here's the reason behind her name.
The jar is a Pint.

Favorite activity was eating, & sleeping. Just lazy.

Smarty Pants. She's the mother to a very interesting hen I have. Will get to her daughter later.

Smarty Pants's original color is Cuckoo with white under fluff, & Large amounts of white in her wings.

Gotta get updated pictures of her, she decided to start getting more white feathers on her. Beginning with the back of her head. She turns 4 next year in March I think.

Her father was either two mixes (with no barring in the background) or a hatchery white orpington (Not sure where the barring would have come from there either though).
(Oops about the pronoun switch)
If the orp is recessive white, he could potentially be hiding barring, though that seems a bit unlikely unless the hatchery also carries cuckoo orps. The only other explanation I can think of is that a barred rooster somehow had access to the mother at some point. Keep in mind that hens can store sperm for a surprisingly long time.

Not sure if this really counts or not, but I had this pair, and when bred together, the males were white and the females were black, even though they were both white. It was like this weird sex-linking. I didn’t hatch enough to be completely sure, but I hatched 6. The first time I hatched 2 cockerels (white) and 3 pullets (black). The last time, I hatched one and it was a male and it was white.

Maybe it’s not that odd, but I thought it sure was strange…
