Labrador Retriever, but her ears/head are not correct for the breed if she is. Is she a working type of lab instead of show?

You might be right about that! I do know breeders/showers that shave a bit of the sanitary and shave off the whiskers. But they could be the exceptions, it's sadly uncommon to see a breed that has it's coat in a "show style" anymore.

Exactly, whats the point of getting a wire breed and knowing clipping ruins that wire coat! When the face is shaven it also softens and doesnt hold the traditional schnauzer shape. Oh well I guess people can do what ever they like with their dogs.

Shaved Schnauzers are a softer look, a proper groomed Schnazer (show styled) would be hand stripped with a bit of shaving, it leave the harsh top coat where as shaving take it off leaving the soft under hairs behind. Does that make sense?

New to thread...used to foster and rescue. I would have loved being able to foster alllll of the dog breeds out there...but..soo many! Do I post a photo? I can of one of my little ones...shaved, and not shaved.

Cute Labrador mamma. With a choclolate and a few blacks, and one cream baby. Labs are sweethearts. Great for the family, and some are really good at hunting that water fowl. Around here in Utah, you will see them used as a flush dog for the pheasants in the field during the hunt in Oct.
