I like that it comes with a temp reducer. I have used it full strength for hospital cages, (set it on bricks and layed it against the outside of the cage,) reduced strength across from the roost bar.

Fabulous! What's nice about these is the back and sides don't get hot so you can mount it on the coop wall without fear of fire. It's highest setting is 150 watts, the center gets hot but not hot enough to burn. Enjoy it!

I've used mine for 3 winters now and have been happy with it. We only turn ours on when it's below 32. It WILL show a difference in your electric bill.
