Help australorps not getting along.

I have one year old 4 hens 1 rooster and 4 months old 1 rooster 1 hen same breed. How do I get the older ones to welcome younger ones? I have 6 two week old chicks would like to keep in same coop when they are older. What would be best way to introduce these chickens to one another without them getting heads pecked off?

Thanks for posting your question. I have the same thing here 3 9month old pullets and 4 6week olds that need to move in with the big kids. as I call them.

to answer your q.when introducing new birds to an estb flock.you can put then in a pen inside the henhouse.an let them get used to seeing an being around eachother for a few days.an then when you let them out do it at nite when theyve gone to roost.an put the new chickens on the roost at nite.you may want to fix it so new birds have a place to exscape to.ive never had much trouble moving old an new birds togather.
