im trying to keep it moist by keeping humidity high and covering it with a damp towel

i dont see the beak behind the membrane.

I'll let psue guide you since she is experienced but if your seeing the veins getting smaller that's a good sign. Maybe she'll say to open the membrane if you don't see any veins just enough where the gosling can get air. Talk to it. through the bator .
In the mean time maybe do some reading https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/step-by-step-guide-to-assisted-hatching

Probably so just keep doing what your doing and hopefully psue will be on soon. So maybe tomorrow would be a good time to think of giving it some air but we'll wait to hear from experts. Hang in there.

It still has time... and they sleep a lot right before hatch...
As long as you see veins (they really do shrink to nothing) baby is still not ready. Where you opened the egg is far enough from where baby should pip that it should not be an issue. Notice I keep saying SHOULD nothing in new life is ever definite. Talk to the baby anytime your close... the response really does your heart good. Hang in there

Thanks a lot !!!! All of you !!!
Ill keep updating ..
Oh One more question don't you think it should start breathing before the veins shrink ??

Also i think the other eggs are going to be as late as this one i dont know why but they are also late
Did you experience anything like this with any of the eggs you hatched ??

Temperature change can cause them to be way late. Waiting is the hard part... as anyone that has ever hatched waterfowl knows. When you get a chance between hatches calibrate your thermometers... you can find information on line for how to do it. As for breathing... if you had not opened the egg baby wouldn't be exposed to air yet. Wait... I know it's hard. Normal time line is... you hear baby, the air cell gets HUGE as baby gets into position.... then baby internally pips, then naps.... externally pips 12 to 24 hours later... then naps... hatches 12 to 24 hours after that

Candle the others... and keep an eye on them that way.
