I've been very happy with my Leghorn/EE crosses. Large, pale blue eggs and lots of them. Hopefully you get the same

I actually kept this one because I was hoping for a super blue egg layer and those mixes sound like the desired result. I will update when she finally lays!

Do you mind sharing pictures of your crosses? I ruled out ee because she has yellow legs!

Easter Eggers usually have yellow skin. It's Ameraucana that have white skin with slate wash on the legs.

this was suppose to be a sexed welsummer. Is it a barnvelder mix? Can they be color sexed?

My Easter egger all have slate greenish legs didn't know there were mixes with yellow! I guess ee are just mutts so could be anything lol

No. The legs are yellow because a Leghorn was the father. Leghorns don't have the gene for the slate wash. This particular girl inherited her father's genes for leg color.

Gotcha is it still safe to assume she might lay a blue tinted egg maybe green. I thought the father contributed egg color?
