Hen who "acts" like a roo! ;-)

It's my Blue Merle Collie. This is during a ice storm back in Jan 2011. He hasn't changed much since this pic.

A better side shot of the black chicken will help. Wih all if the chicken in the picture.........but I don't see any saddle feathers........

I brought the chicken in question of whether it is a Roo or a Hen into the house so I could get better pictures.


I thought you might be able to see the wings better and the comb It has blue tones in the coloring when the light shines a certain way.
Very sweet chicken. In person, the wings and feathers appear to be rounded off on the edges. Sorry if I am pestering you about this chicken.
It really means a lot to know which one Roo or Hen. Thanks.

Yay! Thank you. I hope the chicken is a hen. We didnt want to bother our neighbors with roo's yelling in the morning and throuhout the day... I hear Roo's will crow anytime they please The chicken is still pretty young and I have to consider the breed too cause all of the chickens are of a different breed. - I think that this chicken and all of the other chickens I have are around the ages of 3 and 5 months.
