I am going to go turn it upside down now, thanks for that info. I definitely need to get them in the coop soon, they are in a makeshift shelter under the raised coop with shavings right now but the run is pretty safe. I'll also be doing the ventilation tomorrow evening. I'm thinking of using the piece you put on the end of a drill to make doorknob holes for some ventilation covered with hardware cloth. Along with some small holes along the roof and floor.No, it will not make the coop hotter. Do your second coat tomorrow, so it can cure and you can get your chicks in there. Turn the can upside down tonight and it will be easier to stir.
