How to carry a duck?

I have two 2 week ducks. One is a welsh harlequin and the other a golden hybrid. When I take then out of the brooder they always go crazy and I have no idea how to hold them still. Is there a Certain way I'm supposed to Cary them.

Now to holding your duck ;;; I am not sure how you are doing it but this may help.
Hold like you would hold a kitten providing support from bottom with your fore arm. With your other hand, caress and hold down gently from top. Hold against your body and let duck sense your HEARTBEAT. In short time duck should become calm. This type of holding would apply to most animals excluding reptiles. Even some of those may like it to absorb your warmth.

Have you tried bribing them with treats? I tend to pet them for a moment before I carry them. It seemed to stress them out less.
