I crossed a cream legbar with a ----- and this is what I got

She looks a little like one of my (purchased) chicks who is 1/2 BCM and half mystery bird . I see she is getting some rusty red color on her neck. Ill be interested to see her eggs! What kind of hen is that beside her in the last photo with the white pencilling on the rusty feathers? pretty!

She is standing with my Splash Laced Red Wyandotte! Such a pretty lady.

My CL x BCM mix has the smallest bit of feathers trying to poke through on her legs. I hope it fills in more!

i had no idea so many breeds looked sort of the same and the chipmunk patterning when they were you. I cannot seem to wrap my brain around which is which. lol. I think I may have given someone a bielefelder chicken instead of a cream crested legbar You are awesome!! Thank you so much for posting these!! With the end of the school year coming up, I haven't had time to do much else besides kids and basic chicken care. This is a huge help!! Thank you again.

Cream Legbar rooster with white silkie hen. Two chicks hatched both identical except only 1 has extra toe on each foot. Hatched June 23

Here is what you get when you cross BCM x CCL.

As far as I understand, the CCL hen only carries one barring gene and therefore the pullets will always be black with this cross and the cockerels will be barred. The two pullets above and the little cockerel are sisters and brother.

My eggs are finally big enough from my CCLB girls. I'm starting to save my hatching eggs right now to see what I will get. I have a White NN rooster over 3 CCLB hens.

yes i have a roo and a pullet both from an EE (not ameraucana) dad was CLB. will post later

Ok, I have 6 blue eggs from my CCLB hens in my incubator, with my White NN/White Breese cross roo named Charley over the girls. Charley is a White NN with a bowtie shown in my avatar. They are due to hatch out on August 7th. I joined up with the August Hatch-a-long here at the site if you want to see my progress.
