Due to a problem I had with some purchased eggs (long, uninteresting story), I now find myself in the position of having too many eggs to fit in my incubator! Yayyyy!
Since 24 of the eggs were shipped, I know that probably half will not make it to hatching...so I wanted to add as many as I could to ensure a large hatch, but was limited on space.
A few others have posted their creative ideas, so I thought I'd add my idea:
Essentially, what I did was take the bottom tray of an egg carton and cut out the bottoms of each of the "cells." It holds the eggs in place as the unit rocks back and forth.
I had to leave that one (of the six) empty as the lid has a piece that sticks out there and would have cracked an egg.
I have a longgggg way to go on this hatch. *sigh* The waiting is the hardest part!
